10 day delay due to earthquake

The 1989 World Series was played between the Oakland Athletics and the San Francisco Giants. The Series ran from October 14 through October 28, with the A's sweeping the Giants in four games. It was the first World Series sweep since 1976, and is best remembered for the Loma Prieta earthquake, which occurred on October 17 at the beginning of Game 3 and caused a 10-day disruption in play.

Well maybe in the 2008 World Series, they started it on Monday and finished it on Wednesday. Because of rain. But, I would be hard pressed to think that that was the only time such a thing happened.

Go Phillies!

and by delay i mean, the game is supposed to start at 1 in the afternoon but doesn't start until 6:30 in the evening *cough cough*

and yes, i am referring to the 5 1/2 hours i had to wait before the game between the yankees and the nationals at yankee stadium began yesterday.

so i'm asking you, what was the longest recorded rain delay in MLB history?
and if you did see the game yesterday, what did you think? it's a shame they didn't win

There was a White Sox game in the early 90's that was delayed 7 1/2 hours and never started.
P.S. The game wasn't really that great. 5 1/2 hours of waiting in the rain was painful!!! Plus the Yanks lost!! It really was a shame, especially losing to the Nats!

uhh idk the longest rain delay ever but the yankees suck. the frickin NATIONALS beat them twice. THE NATIONALS! haha
