Alright, I saw this one guy who had an Alpine Type R subwoofer in his trunk. It was in a small/normal sized ported box. It hit pretty good and rattled the car slightly.
However, I saw another car with the same subwoofer and amp, but a huge ported box (the box just for this one sub took up the entire trunk). It hit soooo much harder than the same woofer in the smaller box. The whole car was flexing and the mirrors were about to fall off.
Is it true that the bigger a ported box, the harder a sub will hit?
