What is the History of HIV?

I have heard first time it has been seen ina simian's body!and it has been called SIV!then because of a relationship with a man and that simian it transfered to Human and it has been called HIV!am i right?
what do u know more about it?
 
Depends on who you ask. I can comprehend HIV transmission via both sexual and dietary methods. For the sake of political correctness, most folks side with the unsanitary cooking method theory over the horny african theory.

On a side note, the virus that HIV has been compared to in other sapiens is very similar to HIV, but not the same exact virus. HIV actually shares similarities to several different virii, leading a substantial number of conspiracy theorists to believe that HIV is actually a human designed virus.

There are a couple of main strains and within those several varieties.
Each of these represents a jump from non-human primate to humans, probably by people eating chimps and monkeys (they call this "bush meat").
