What is the highest update for Google Android G1 phone?

I have the first Android phone which is the Google G1, and this phone is so far the best phone in the world that I have ever used. I have tried other newer phones even the new Nexus S or the Epic 4G or the Droids, but I love G1 the most because it has the best keyboard, even if it doesn't really support multitouch. I WANT TO UPDATE MY PHONE! What is the highest available maybe if possible using computer, or ota (over the air) update? I have the Android 1.6 right now, and I haven't update my phone in a long time. So I want to know if maybe there is a 2.0 update or 2.1, 2.2, or any updates available from 1.6.
