What is the game animal crossing:city folk for nintendo ds? What do you do?

A few of my friends have this game and i don't know what it is. What do you do on this game? Is it fun? Please help.
 
Basically you move into a town and get a house in which you must do errands around the town in order to pay it off. The gamecube, DS, and Wii games are mostly all the same with a few minor details. The Wii version is probably the best so far because it has online play and voice chat. However, the objective to the game and the furniture have not really changed but it will keep you playing because of its addiction. Its like a Sims game with animals in it.
 
It's really fun.. in the game, you are an animal, you but a house and make friends and stuff. I've been playing it for yrs. Great game! Kinda like sims, except u are an animal. hope i helped.
