I know Q=(change T)(M)(C) and with a metal and water the Qm= -Qw (m=metal w=water)
so
(change Tm)(Mmetal)(Cm)= -(change Tw)(Mw)(Cw)
But:
If heat is lost to the environment, where does that fit in?
Thanks for your help!!!
