if i'm shopping and an item costs 14.99 and it is 65% off how much will i end up paying for it?

my teacher said something about the easiest way to figure it out.

so does that mean there are two ways to do it?

what is the easiest way to figure this out in my head fast?

The quickest way if you have a calculator handy is to multiply 14.99 x 0.65 = that's the amount off.

To get the amount you pay, 14.99 x 0.35
