What is the easiest way for someone to make salmon? I have never cooked before lol?

I would like to broil a fillet of salmon. I don't even really know how to work our oven (it's a gas oven btw).

Can anyone here explain how to do this? Or give me a website that will explain it and also some pictures would be great Lol.

I tried googling it and it all looked to complicated.
You can bake salmon?

My mom said you can only grill it or broil it?

I've never operated a gas oven before, but here's how I would do it for electric:

Preheat oven to 350 and marinate or season the fish.
Place on a foil-lined pan and put in the oven about 10 minutes.

Cook until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees, or until the fish flakes.

Don't overcook or the fish will be dry.

You can also cook the fish on the stove as well in a fry-pan.

It is easy. first turn your broiler or grill on in your oven. Since it is a gas oven open the door to the broiler part and make sure it turns on. If it doesn't turn on you can always call out for pizza. Ok back on track...
Place your salmon (skin side down if it is a fillet) on to foil and then put the fish on the foil on the broiler tray. Close boiler door. The fish should be done in about 5 min. You can tell if it is done if it gets a slight brown color.

just bake the salmon, don't complicate things,

heat gas oven to mark 6.
place salmon in oven proof dish, grate zest of lemon onto fish, add knob of butter.
bake for 15 minutes,

if you're looking for the absolutely easiest possible way to cook it then it would have to be the microwave. you could eat it raw too but that's not "cooking"

add a little salt, pepper, lemon juice, cover with cling film and nuke the sucker. not the best way to do it but it's a great way to go if time in a factor, especially in the morning

Easiest way to broil salmon fillet is to place it on sheet of aluminum foil on a metal cookie sheet or baking dish skin side down. Squeeze lemon juice over the top of the salmon. Drizzle a little olive oil or vegetable oil on the top. Broil at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes, but check it at 5 minutes to see if done yet.
