Mmm....
uh.
Yeah.
So.

Sports that look good on college apps are usually highly competitive. Basketball Captain, Football Quarterback etc. taken by people who will put most of their time into the sport. Athletics are designed such that, unless you're a prodigy, will demand a lot of time for little result.

If you're not willing to put at least 65% of your EC time into a sport, you can always try running for a student government position. Generally, those rank up as well as team captains in most sports teams.

Ok. So I'm in the International Baccalaurate Program. I have all A's, and am in Model UN and Key Club. I'm a freshman, and I'm planning on being on EVERY honors society next year. There's only one thing I'm missing: A sport. I used to do track in middle school, and was actually pretty good. However, Cross Country was really demanding this year, and since I was the top of the team (both a blessing and a curse), the coach was obsessed with getting me to Regionals. I want to get into Direct Admission Med School, and my grades started dropping due to XC (nothing big, just B's). I started swimming in a really good swim club, and practiced really hard. Once again, the coach wants to move me up to the 9 practice a week group. So, I know I'm sounding stupid, but what's a sport that'll look good on my college application, takes very little time, and very little effort? Thanks in advance!
