What is the difference between Prime Ministers Questions and Parliamentary Debate?

The PM is called to the chamber to answer personally for his own work that week by all parts of the House.
 
PMQ's is when the PM answers questions for half an hour. Only the PM answers the questions and the Government doesn't ask any questions to the opposition. (Gordon Brown sometimes asks David Cameron questions but as you may have noticed Cameron does not answer).
A Parliamentary debate is a discussion between MPs / Lords to discuss government policy, proposed new laws etc.
 
PMQ is where the elected MPs have a twice weekly 30min chance to ask the PM questions which can be from their constitency,or international questions.This keeps the MPs upto date on government policy.
A PD is an open debate on topical matters or scrutiny of proposed legislation.The PM can attend but it always the relevent cabinet minister that comes along
