A park is a place, usually public, that is a property used for recreation, outing, walking, and overall enjoyment of the great outdoors. It may contain a lake or a beach part, extensive grassy areas, and plant life. It may also contain areas specially provided for camping and/or picnicking.
A garden is usually an outside area designated for the growth and development of various plant forms and is often located inside the area of a park or on its property landlines. It is usually separated or blocked off from general walking areas by some type of surrounding border, i.e stone wall, fencing, shubbery, etc. However, a garden may also be a larger umbrella term used to represent a public or private area adjoined to a residence that is used for public or private enjoyment of the outside.
