What is the difference between chesse crackers and saltines if I want to use...

...them to cook? I want to do a type of cookie/toffee thing with the crackers and it says to use saltines but I only have like chese crackers avaiable to me, they are just like Kraft fine crackers.

This type of toffee does not involve any chocolate but more like vanilla extract. Its called Vanilla Crack and its from a book called Apple Turnover Murder.
 
Cheese crackers will overpower the flavor of the chocolate and butter. If you don't have saltines, you could try ritz, but they will alter the flavor as well. There's really not much you can substitute in some recipes.
