what is the difference between bazooka-tube subs and enclosure subs?

Is one better overall than the other? Can you mount the bazooka subs anywhere? Do the bazooka subs come in 12"+ sizes? Do they have different sounds? I have a '94 Chevy ext. cab fullsize truck with the stock system in it. Any ideas of cool set-ups, etc.? any help or suggestions would help so much.. Thanks..
