science in education? I am looking into to getting my master's. I have a BS in Communication disorders which, if I got a master's in that field, I would be a Speech-language pathologist. But would also love to become certified to be a special education teacher.

Got confusing when I saw all the different options....

What is the first thing I need get (certification, masters?) in order to be a teacher since I do not have a degree in education?

Thanks so much to all who take the time to help me out. :)
Awesome! Thanks a bunch.

you don't need a degree in education to teach, you need to be certified and go through a teachers preparation program. depending on where you want to teach you will need more than a bachelor's, with a master's you can be a lecturer at a college...but you can't be tenured or called a professor unless you have a phd. or something like that.

you'll need to check the specific credentials a state requires for you to teach in that state.
