What is the difference between a Kawasaki KZ550 and a KZ550 LTD?

I have an 81 Kawasaki KZ550, I noticed a lot of other 81 KZ550's have a rounded gas tank and look completely different than mine. The gas tank on mine looks kinda shaped like a casket with sharp lines. Mine also only has a single front disc brake. I'm having trouble locating the correct parts to rebuild my brakes because it seems every other KZ550 on the planet came with dual discs. Can someone please help me out and tell me what the difference is? Will a dual disc parts work on my single disc bike?

Its possible that you have a GPz tank on your bike or a tank from a different year. Just looking through some pics, most of the KZs have single discs, the GPz has dual for sure. The GPz has the tank you are describing and look nothing like the KZs. Both the LTD and GPz are KZ550s. You may want to try asking for parts for a KZ550 A2 which is another name for the GPz model in '81. I know thw '81 440LTD has a single brake up front too.
