There are no "dangers" from genetically modified food because it is fundamentally no different from "regular" food. Whether you modify corn to have bigger kernels by cross-breeding it for twenty years of harvests, or you do the same thing in one generation by transplanting genes on a lab bench, the result is the same. People who see some kind of "danger" in GM food are forgetting that ALL food produced by deliberately farming it is, and always has been "genetically-modified"!
It's similar to the question of "Which is the purer water? Double-distilled mountain spring water? Or double-distilled pig sweat?"...The answer, of course, is that chemically they are EXACTLY THE SAME! But you will always be able to find people who think the distilled pig sweat is somehow "less healthy"!
