What is the cheapest SIM Card/Pre-Paid/No-Contract to purchase for visiting the US?

What is the cheapest SIM Card/Pre-Paid/No-Contract to purchase for visiting the US? I travel down there a couple times a month and my roaming fee with my Canadian provider are insane. I therefore bought an unlocked phone for the purpose of using it during my US visits and I am was wondering where I should be looking to purchase a sim card? I shall also be calling Canada fairly often.

PagePlus, 10 dollars for 100 minutes with 120 service days, but it's CDMA and it's talk and text only. Other page plus users can clarify this for me, I have no experience with P+. I'm still researching it to change it to my primary.
