We got a German Sheperd puppy the other day and he is healthy and happy but has chosen the front door area to pee and poop in. His litter was born indoors but were moved outside at 3 weeks so I'm assuming they were all used to eliminating wherever and whenever they wanted! He is now 3 months old.
I have taken him outside many, many times and all he does is sit at my heels and look around or nibbles at the snow. I have another 4 year old dog and I figured the scent of her pee and poop outside would encourage him but nothing so far.
Should I crate him? That's the way we taught all our other dogs, but they were nice puppies. None of the others howled or whined like this guy does, LOL! He freaks out and is very loud when he's put into a kennel but if I keep doing it, will he get used to it?
Any help would be awesome!
