What is the best way for me to study accounting!!?

I find it hard for me to understand the accounting calculation and theories. My examination is coming and so far i can only understand like 20% of it. I been browsing through my accounting text book and try to understand the terms, still i can't get the hang of it. Sigh, whenever i open my accounting book i feel like an idiot.
