I made an animation of a bird flying in photoshop the other day, I just started with my original, cut its wings, and put the layers in a group, then duplicated that group, changed my wings a bit, and duplicated that grp, and then moved the next grps wings a bit, then I saved them as gifs, and imported them to flash, where I made them into a movie symbol and put them all over my banner for my boat website I'm making ona motion path so they fly around the place. I only did it in about 18 frames of the wings going up then down, it wasn't a long clip. If you are going to make something long, do it in illustrator, because its easier to manipulate joints and things and you can just drag your picture from illustrator to flash.
