What is the best video game system to buy: the PS3 250GB or the NEW XBOX S 250GB?

I have the PS3 250GB. I bought it over the original white xbox a couple years ago because the white xbox can get the red rings of death faster than the PS3 can get the Yellow Light of Death. Does the new Xbox S have a long life than the PS3? And how easy is it to get the red rings of Death of the New Xbox? Plus whats better Gears of War or Uncharted?
