I've been doing alot of online research on suspension upgrades for the SV650, and ive come across 2 main upgrades, swapping out the cruddy front forks for ones from a GSX-R (or ZX 10R) or just upgrading the springs/oil/emulators. What benefits do you receive from installing GSXR forks as opposed to just the springs oil and emulators? What are the disadvantages? Also please feel free to add any other details or comments you may have. Thanks!
(also please dont just like a general site like "svrider.com" like ive seen in other forums, responses such as those are rarely helpful).

I always was impressed with the stock suspension on the SV650, that suspension can handle a heavy rider and passenger better than any other bike in its class
