a good rider on a 600cc sports bike will beat an average rider on a 1000cc sports bike.. (unless there on a straight road for 5 miles)
track times for the leading 600cc riders are up there with the lower times for the 1000cc riders.. (proof is only a mouse click away)
so best is a relative term... 1000cc sports production racing.. would put Honda & Yamaha at the top... but the other makes are only a few seconds off the times. (this could just be the better riders are on Hondas & Yamahas)
Aprilla rsv4 won the fastest lap time at 1:32:419, All of those bikes are basically the same in acceleration 0-100 kph in 3.2 seconds, and the zx-10r wins the horsepower rating at 169.5 @12,100 rpm. This was cycle worlds august eddition. Im sure it will be different in september. If you are asking this question on here, then I would assume your not an expert with bikes and therfore all liter bikes will be the same.
