what is the best pot to cook slow cooked sauces?

I have 4 stainless steel 8lt pots and all my sauces burn and stick to the bottom I would like to know if anyone has a favourite or what they would recommend.Is le creuset worth the money is that something I should be looking at..I am thinking cast iron..stainless steel is no good for me..thank you
