Pirates of the Caribbean is the best, & ya gotta love the Lord of the Rings soundtrack too

Mad Love - I still listen to it a lot it is defintely one of my all-time favorites.

The Crow - ranks a close second.

I love soundtracks, and I have a pretty big collection. Some are scores, some are various artists.

My favorite movie soundtrack is probably my X-Files Fight the Future CD. I

this album. I bought it the day it was released and I've loved it ever since. I especially love "Walking After You" and "More Than This".

My favorite movie score would probably be Pirates of the Caribbean or The Lord of the Rings.

Grosse Pointe Blank - one of the few soundtrack I listened to so much that the cd now is totally scratched.

Walk the Line - Joaquin and Reese do Johnny and June proud.

Big Chill

Forrest Gump - a cd which my entire family "borrowed" from me at one point and I had to wrestle it back from them.

Right now my favorite is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. ELO! Polyphonic Spree! And lots of gorgeous, short instrumentals.

I also love:
Moulin Rouge
Chicago
The Lion King
Lost in Translation
Igby Goes Down
Grease

Chicago is a definite winner; all three of the LOTR s-tracks are as well. Also, Peter Pan and Labyrinth get my vote.

Pride and Prejudice--It's so beautiful and haunting.

Romeo and Juliet and Garden State were pretty perfect as well.

I love Badly Drawn Boy 'cause of this soundtrack. "A Minor Incident" is my favorite track; it tugs at the heart strings and has an awesome harmonica break.

Pieces Of April

Stephin Merritt put this one together. They're all songs with The Magnetic Fields, save a couple with his other project, The 6ths. Quirky and pretty.

The Virgin Suicides

Very fitting of the mood and the mid-70s time period of the movie. Great songs from Todd Rundgren, Heart, etc.

Little Miss Sunshine

And I love Devotchka 'cause of this soundtrack. Their songs are haunting, lovely, and grand. They really accent the emotions of the film.

I think the music Eddie Vedder created for Into the Wild was pretty much perfect. Each song fits perfectly in the scene, whether it be with the landscape (which is breathtaking) or the emotion that is supposed to be conveyed. I was quite taken with the music when paired with the film.

Once wins my vote for greatest soundtrack ever, though. The songs are made for the radio, yet we watch this movie where they write these songs, play them and make an album. It's pretty awesome. I've never liked the music from a musical so much as I did with Once. I mean, Falling Slowly won a frickin Oscar! Woah!

I don't think I'd sit around and listen to the There Will Be Blood soundtrack, but the music Johnny Greenwood crafted fit the film perfectly. It made a disturbing, haunting film even the more haunting. The score really got shafted by not being nominated. Stupid rules.

The soundtrack is almost nightmarish it's so good.

The Virgin Suicides soundtrack Air did for the film is extraordinary. I just love songs that are completely crafted around the movie and while I love a soundtrack like Garden State, the Virgin Suicides soundtrack is the movie.

I recently saw Follow The Fleet and thought it had a great soundtrack

I prefer musical soundtracks to just incidental songs.

I kind of missed this topic.

I recently bought Chicago (better late than never) and it's wonderful

My favorite is still the soundtrack from "City of Angels" but next on my list will be "Lost in Translation" so that could change.
