What is the best meal to start out your day if you're trying to build muscle & burn fat?

Currently eating 1.5 cups of Cheerios w/ 1 scoop of protein powder and 1.5 cups of skim milk.

I recently heard a news station report that eggs are the best way to start the day, but shouldn't whole grain complex carbs be consumed earlier in the day, as oppose to later?
