What is the best kind of paint to use for gnomes that will be put in my garden?

I know I need something weather resistant, but I'm not sure what to use. They are ceramic, and the paint is chipped off of them - guess it wasn't weather resistant. Can I use regular ceramic paint then spray it with a weather resistant coat? If so, what is the best one? Thanks in advance.

Well Rita, I prefer to use Behr products. They will give your gnomes a nice finish. They will just be the cutest little garden gnomes ever. All your neighbors will envy your gnomes. You will just want to eat them all up.
