What is the best expression to describe this situation ?

My memory can't help me but let's say if you have a problem followed by a bigger problem. For example, Your girlfriend finds out that you're cheating on her ( now that's a problem ) then two days later she finds out that you actually cheating on her with her sister ( that's a bigger problem ). What is the expression that people usually say when they have followed problems like this ?
