What is the best CGI software?.?

I want to create a world war 2 dogfight completely CGI, but I don't know what the best software is. I want something that is high qualitly, and I don't care about price. I know you can buy a few programs that they use to make a lot of famous movies, and that is what I am aiming for. Any suggestions
 
do you have ANY experience with 3d modeling? you cant just go and make an animation without models. oh and try blender. then use after effects cs4 or 5. and torrent them they cost way too much to pay for
