what is the best car for snow?

I live in the mountains and the winters are pretty rough. does anyone

1. have a car that does great in the snow? if so what?
2. know of a good brand of snow tires that are great in the snow?
 
I think the kind of vehicle that would be ideal would be a large SUV. There are many brands of SUV's out there to choose from. What you want is a quality vehicle. Check out Toyota, Honda, or Nissan brands. As far as snow tires, I would recommend getting tire brands such as Good Year, Firestone, Michelin, and any other brand of tires.
