What is the best bike to make a bobber out of? And also best bike for a chopper project?

Looking to start on a little project I have wanted to do for a while now. I am looking to build my own bike and I am interested in making it the bobber style or a chopper. Wondering what bike I should by as the main project. I heard virago's are good. Any suggestions. I plan on buying an old beat bike and rebuilding. Any other suggestions on how to go about it would be great. Thanks
