What is the average value of Net Assets under management by Hedge Funds in the U.S.?

I'm guessing around 1 billion, is average NAV for Hedge Funds in the U.S. But that is only a guess, I would like to know what is a common amount of capital being managed by your average hedge fund - minus the mega funds like Paulson / Soros etc.
Can anyone please provide some statistics? Thanks!
