Preferably I would like to hear from police or people with DA knowledge.
I can easily find many articles comparing the costs of murder trials. What I am looking for though is how much of that cost, is actually bourne by the police department for investigating the murder. Maybe is some jurisdictions some of this cost might be bourne by the DA office, so how does that compare.
All of those DNA samples and blood spatter analysis and man hours have to cost alot of money, but I can't find an answer as to how much?
