what is the authors intent in the rime of the ancient marnier and the purpose of

This is just my opinion so don't quote me on it.

I think that the purpose of the mariner was to pass on his knowledge, to warn others about his mistakes and tell of his adventures.

And romanticism isn't the way it sounds. It actually has a lot to do with nature and the supernatural. I personally would classify it as romanticism.

Hope that helps!

i think it was to show the importance of knowledge....because the the marnier didn't really use common sense in the story and everthing wen to sh*t..ahahhaha...and how he retells his story to the wedding guest is also a clue to it...i don;t really remember too much but i remember a project where i had to read frankenstein, the rhime of the ancient marnier and paradise lost with many other works...so i'm guessing there is probably something with knowledge..may be wrong but thats what i got from it....

yea it ties with romanticism because it used things like a ship voyage and glorified it...probably not explaining it good but oh well
