What is the aim of this experiment?

I did an experiment where a trolley car collides with a wall. I have the initial time and distance (before collision) and final time and distance (after collision) of the trolley car. I also have the mass of the trolley car (I varied the mass of the trolley car on each trial). Now, I do not know what to do with this data or what can this experiment prove. Please HELP
The experiment is on momentum, so I guess I have to do something about momentum.
