That's hard to answer. There is a general black American culture but it's not all inclusive. There are also so many subgroups within the larger groups like Louisiana Creole, Gullah, Hebrew Israelites, etc.
The one thing in common is that Black Americans are the descendants of African slaves and face the unique issues of slavery-segregation- oppression of blacks in this country.
EDIT- Zaire, African history and American black history are not the same. It's true that black Americans are the descendants of African slaves and have many African characteristics but American culture and African culture are very different. I challenge you to ask an African person if they can relate to the American black experience and the answer would most likely be no.
The similarities would have to be the oppression of both groups but they were done on different scales. And then you would have to consider the African culture in question.
