What is Sony trying to pull with the PS3s? PS3 SLIM investigation...?

If I were to play my PS3 slim in my hot a** room, would the PS3 heat up more than usual? Why? My room is really warm, and as the day progresses, only gets hotter due to the hot weather. I notice that when I play my PS3 slim, it gets really hot at the back and underneath to the left (if you look at it from the front). I've gone to different stores to see how hot they're PS3 slims are. I've gone to Sony Style (where I got my slim from) and they have up to 5-6 PS3 slims hooked up to tvs throughout the store, there are three PS3 slims in a back room where they have chairs so that people can go into the room and play on the PS3 slim. I've literally gone just to place my hand on these PS3 slims to see how hot they get. I felt the three in the back room, checked out the firmware and everything, they're not in any kind of display mode or anything like that so they are regular, updated PS3 slims (or at least they look regular on the outside and in the XMB, but what about the hardware?). I felt one they had hooked up to a huge TV displaying Avatar in HD, and guess what? They all feel WAY cooler than mines. I then went to a Best Buy that was near and they had a PS3 SLIM out, and it was LITERALLY really dusty, and never seems to get any maintenance. I felt it and picked it up as I did with all the other ones at the Sony Style, and guess what? It was ALSO way cooler than mines. I figure they have all these systems on pretty much all day until closing time right? See, here's where things turn confusing. Now, I don't use my PS3 slim excessively or abuse it in any way. I purchased it in February. I have it in a big space with room all around. I ONLY play for an hour or less and don't use it every day. However, mines does get way hotter than the ones at these stores, why is that? Is it because my room feels really hot? Probably, or at least I hope that's why. The stores are really cool in terms of temperature, in the Sony Style store, I was actually getting the chills (seriously). But how is it that these systems can go on all day, every day and still stay cool? But when I use mines, for an hour it feels like it's been on for a year non stop compared to theirs. Is Sony giving these stores better products than they're giving the consumers? What is Sony trying to pull?
