I'm 17 and a soon to be senior in high school. I am wanting to start working out at home. I am mainly wanting to focus on building upper body muscle and to tone my upper body at the same time. Ive been playing soccer since i was 5 so my lower body is pretty much covered. I took weight training for a year so i would say that i have a general knowledge of exercises and use of equipment but its all pretty basic. I'm not exactly sure what i would need to begin working out at home. I have limited space and money so just some basic equipment would be nice. I'm thinking a pull up bar to put in the door way, some exercise bands, a set of adjustable dumbbells and maybe a dumbbell bench. Does this seem about right? If you have any ideas. comments, or concerns please let me know so i can figure out what i should get.
