Quito's culture is very friendly and conservative. I was surprised when I arrived to Quito and asked a guy to carry my lugagge and he answered "Yes My Lord".
People is very corteus and they have good manners especially with tourists and reigious people.
The city is extremely clean and after 8 pm is very difficult to find a place to eat.
The architecture is very traditional Spanish from the colony mostly Baroque. Dowton is full of catholic churches that are over 400 years old.
