I live in Cali and in about a month, I'm moving temporarily to Newport News, Virginia for about four months with my boyfriend. I've never been there and I want to know what its like (the area, nearby shopping, the neighborhood, etc.) My boyfriend is in the Navy and he works during the day, five days a week and once a week, has overnight duty. So when he's at work, I'll be at home and I wanted to know what kinds of things there are to do to keep busy since I don't have any friends out there. I thought about getting a part-time job but I don't know how many jobs are available and will allow me to work there for four months. Any suggestions? I don't have a car so I can't drive anywhere, it'd have to be by bus or walking. Any help would be great. Thank you. : )
