What is my painting worth, if anything?

I found a very old painting in an old basement. and was wondering what it's value is, if anything. The artists name is Jean Eve.. I found a little on her born in 1900 died in 1968, and i think she was from France. The painting i have is a snow scene, it is in what appears to be, an original frame..very worn. And the back of the painting says something about a museum..Any information, greatly appreciated. Thanks
