well i have had a oscar fish for ages now but suddenly he has started opening his mouth really wide and shaking his tail..
but the other night i fed him late and he started doing it at the normal time i feed him.....what is he doing?

as i type this he keeps turning upside down and spinning at the bottom of the tank them swimming back up.lol help
 
It does sound like its ready to spawn. Is it digging a ditch in your substrate?? If it is then that why it is acting that way. It should return to normal within a week.
 
It might be "begging". Ive heard that oscars can recognize their owners and do things like whirling around and flapping around to call u to them
