What is my financial obligation if a company mails me a book I never ordered?

I subscribe to "Southern Living" and they mailed me a cook book I NEVER ordered. I didn't know what it was and thought it came with the subscription. I gave it away and now they're coming after me for $50 bucks and have turned me over to collections! I never ordered this book and resent them sending me something that burdens ME with returning it! I don't think I'm legally obligated to pay for this. Can any of you shed any light? Don't know if it matters but I live in Arkansas.

Mark it "Return to Sender", remove your address label so the USPS doesn't send it back to you and drop it in the mail.

If you didn't order it, you don't have to pay for it although if you DO keep it they will nag you till you die.

Crime is what I call it. Recently I had the same thing happen and I had to pay for certified/registered postage to return it AND go to my bank & have the charges reversed. Funny thing was, someone used my credit card off the Internet but they didn't have my PIN nor signature & that's how I got it resolved. Fargging Iceholes who do this should be behind bars.
