Hi all,

I am new to the forum.

I am a 22 year old, full time working with two young children.

I have suffered with something weird since I was like 14. There would be a time every month or so where I'd get a strong urge to eat eat and eat, It would have to be sugary and I'd feel dodgy till I had eaten. This has'nt ever been a major problem.

For the past year, I have had problems where when walking into town for lunch at work, its only a 5-10 minute walk, I get light headed and slightly dizzy and I won't feel right till I've sat down and had something to eat, I thought maybe its just because I am too hungry but eating before I go does'nt help either.

I also suffer from occasional headaches, bad ones which are on my right eye and feel like my head is going to pop out of the side, These continue untill I leave the office and drive home and sometimes for an hour or so after I get home. These happen probaly once a month but all getting more and more frequent.

I am also finding myself more tired. I go to bed at 00:30-00:45 and get up between 7 and 7:30 everyday, Rarely do I lay in past this time. I am a kind of person who once I wake up, I have to get up, I can't go back to sleep but even without an alarm, my body wakes up. By 9pm everyday, I find myself very tired and once I start to drift off, my body won't stop, I can be mid conversation and fall asleep. I don't notice I've drifted off as I feel like I still am awake and watching whatever partner and I are seeing. She gets very annoyed and wakes me up.

I only work in an office but its on the phone/emails/logging data and applications which require mental input, I then come home and cook and look after the kiRAB and have a good time with them and once they go to bed, I am shattered but I have house work to do to so I am on the go from 7am till bed time.

I have also suffered lately from lots of ulcers. but on my tongue. They won't go away and getting very annoying.

I read online the dizzyness and tiredness could be low blood pressure. I went to the doctors last year and he gave me a blood test and I was only low on vitiam D.

Hi I hope this isn't too many questions for you. Are you on any medicines? Do you take any vitamin D? Do you spend any time outdoors in the sun excluding between 10-2pm? have you ever had a sleep test done? Have you ever had an EEG done? Would you be willing to send us a picture of the tongue hiding your eyes with a blindfold to keep identity or leaving us a picture of your tongue only? Have you had a blood sugar test done? A blood sugar machine used to be obtainable for about $10 I don't know the cheapest now. A person could test this before the meal at the time he feels hungry or dizzy or especially before breakfast in the morning.

Hi,

Not at all, Ask as many as you need!

I am not on any medicines at all. I don't take any vitamin D, I did take vitamin tablets but these did nothing to help. I am outside between 1 and 2 everyday but nothing more then that, living in the UK, makes it hard to get out in the sun.

I will take a photo of my tongue for you to see, They are not like proper ulcers, they are small little painful lumps which respond to ulcer treatment.

I did have a blood test a year ago and nothing was found. If it was something like diabeties, Surely they'd only pick something like that if I was having one of these light headed dizzy episodes.

Thanks

SounRAB more like low blood sugar might be the problem. Even if it was within normal limits, if you don't eat enough protein it can drop. Did you do a fasting blood sugar test?

Hi I take it by your post you had no other tests. I would get as much light as possible I forgot about England fogs. I am wondering if your vitamin had any vitamin D in it. I would agree with the tichou post I was thinking about the possibility of low blood sugar but because it has not been tested yet I was not sure.

djg: Even if you're not diabetic you could still be suffering from something called Reactive Hypoglycemia. Get to an endocrinologist if you can and get a workup done on your endocrine system. You could also have thyroid problems. See an ear, nose and throat doctor or your dentist about the ulcers. It could be allergy related.
