Soldier was dead on. Looking back it was easy. The hardest part is 1. being away from family 2. being controlled constantly by someone 3. doing a lot of physical activities. Nothing that thousands of other people have not gone through. You have only one thing you can do, succeed and pass basic. As for add on, if you go infantry the training will be slightly different because you will go through OSUT where all your DS are infantry and you concentrate more on infantry tasks throughout basic and AIT. You get more experiences using weapons, night ops, and you spend more time out in the field doing patrols and other infantry tasks. I thought some parts were actually fun. Hope this helps.
