If you get a first generation miata (under $5000), you get a great handling car, which you will have to make more powerful if you wanted to (turbo, supercharge, etc.) = about $3500 for new turbo kit installed and tuned.
If you get the mustang 5.0 (under $5000), you get a car that has loads of power, which you will have to make more agile if you wanted it to handle (lower/stiffer springs/shocks, sway bars, etc.) = about $900 for new springs, shocks, and sway bars.
as you can see, the mustang is the cheaper choice because you can get power and handling for about $5900, and the miata with a turbo kit would cost almost $9000...that is unless you buy one with a kit already installed.
Now, what if you want a car that has a balance of both power and handling out of the box? what can you buy here in america for about the same price of the aforementioned cars above?
Ed T, what do you mean I will give up before the mustang does..?
and i have friends 240sx and i've driven one i don't really like it that much. also I want something different haha
Guy who owned 90 miata, you have a point with the MPG and stuff. as a daily driver gas is sure to have an influence. I'm just worried about it being so small. wouldn't want to get T boned at an intersection by a truck in such a small car!!
. i was T boned in a small car before but, it waas a newer one and had great safety ratings. as far as the miata... yeah idk about htat. hahahah. shiet.
