Everytime I hotsync, something goes wrong, and I get this on my log:

The thing is, that file is not in my hotsync que, and I even reinstalled the palm database, and this error STILL comes up. Non of my card-based media will sync due to this, and everytime I hotsync, under the media section of the palm desktop multiple expansion card slots are created (for example, if I sync 3 times, 3 expansion cards show up, all empty).

What is going on? How do I fix this?

Well, i'm not sure of the answer to your problem but it seems you are trying to copy a movie over.

I advise that you do not hotsync this as depending on it's size, it could take up to hours. Use a card reader or if you must, get Card Export II and use that.
If you're not sure which player to use, download TCPMP, it's the best movie player available and it's freeware.

the thing is, I am NOT trying to hotsync this. I had it hotsynced befored, but after I deleted it, I keep getting this problem. It is not in the hotsync que, so I have no idea what is going on. I reinstalled the Palm Desktop software, but this is still going on. I have no idea what to do. Can someone please help me with this? It is absolutely driving me bonkers.

And also, what is with the multiple expansion cards being created on the palm desktop media section. It most probably has something to do with this issue, but I still have no idea what is going on.

Go to the Install Folder on your PC should be something like this:

C:\program files\Palm\Username (SR possibly)\Install and be certain it's clear. Also check the folder called CardInst and be certain that there is nothing in it.

That may be the cause - if not report back and I'll come up with another SWAG.

I would reformat the SD Card but before that run a hot sync without the card installed and see what the Log states.

If the log states the same thing - then you are probably going to have to unistall the Desktop and reinstall it. I'd trace the problem to the registry in the above scenario.

If not - then advise and I'll try and come up with another idea?

I just reinstalled palm desktop again, and it still happened...

How would I reformat my SD card without a card reader? I don't want to buy one only to see that it doesn't help me.

Oh man, I just went through all of the folders in my palm database, and in some random folder marked with random markings, I found the file just sitting there. So I deleted it, and now its working again :)
