Today driving my 2000 Buick Regal, the first two miles the security light came on. I stopped the car, turned it off, and waited. When I restarted my car, the light was off. I continued driving. About ten miles later, I went to make a turn and I heard a loud thump. My car started sliding as if it was on ice and I couldn't stop. There was no ice or anything around where I was, so I assume my brakes were locking up. I continued perhaps two minutes and I looked at my dash, where I noticed that most of the lights were on: The no traction light, the check engine light, the service vehicle light, the air bag light, and the security light. The check engine light has been on for six years and we can not turn it off, but none of the other lights have ever been on. I stopped my car immediately and turned it off. About fifteen minutes later I tried to drive again. The lights were off, so I started driving. When I went to make another turn, the thump happened again and all of the lights turned on. We just did an oil change on Friday. What is going on?
