What is everyone's worst horror film?

Extremely scary, as is her short story The Lottery, recently made into a rubbish tv movie with MTV dork Dan Cortese, of all people!

Open Water *yawn* AWFUL!

Also years ago I saw a "horror" film, but I can't remember the name of it - the "Baddy" was a murderous wooden man, who everytime I saw just reminded me of the cuprinol(?) wooden man from the adverts, i just couldn't take it seriously!

The Amityville Horror 2: The Possession

I watched it the other night, and it's pish. I like the warning before it, about how it contained scenes of a sexual nature that some viewers may find disturbing

You only saw a brief glimpse of boob. Though it was brother/sister love...

I agree. The Exorcist is shite - boring, dull. There isn't anything scary about it at all!- I'm so shocked why everyone is saying is scary!... Its not! I saw it and wondered what the fuss was about.

Scary Movie, no not really, I'd class them as a comedy, perhaps The Ring 1, Blair Witch, Airline 75', The Wrong Turn or The Grudge.

Odd comments.

"Pro-catholic plot?" That's what you were evaluating while watching the movie?

Besides the head spinning scene there were no real special effects to speak of. It was also regarded at the time, and still now, as an outstanding effect and scene, which was all done before computer effects.

What deafening soundtrack? What is defeaning about it?

Where was Jason Miller and Ellen Burstyn overacting? Their performances were always highly regarded as being top notch.

When I saw the Exorcist it was in the days before THX etc. and tin-eared projectionists always seemed to crank the sound up as far as it would go and I had a blinding headache when I left the cinema.
It's a shocking, violent and unpleasant movie but scary it ain't.
:)

Thats exactly what I thought about it!
Up untill you find out exactly what it is thats chasing them in that rickety van, I was thinking 'this is great'! Every time that horn beeped I jumped out of my skin!
Then it just got stupid when that weird looking thing showed its face. It was a lot scarier when you didnt know what it was.

As anything to do with shipwrecks and ghost in water etc usually scares the **** out of me I was SO disappointed in Ghost Ship.

Apart from What Lies Beneath & The Ring I think that Hollywood has forgotten how to make horror films!

I agree that Poltergeist III wasn't too good but the man who played the reverend in the second one was dead by then AND Heather O'Rouke died before this one was finished so it's all a bit sad really.

The Excorsist

I heard it was the scariest film EVER made, so Halloween 2003 me and my mates all watched it expecting to be cleaning the poo of the floor the next morning (ok not really lol) but i didnt find it scary at all!!! it was quite funny at points though lol

Seriously i've seen Most Haunted episodes scarier than that!!!

What ? Are you sure you've got the right film ?

The Thing was a masterpiece :D

What is it with The Horror Channel ? I mean, whats the point, maybe they should rename it The Horrible Channel :p

Why is everyone saying that good films are crap? You guys have no taste what so ever and a very poor understanding of horror.

Bliar witch project 2 is the worst horror ever.
Though Blair witch 1 was one of the greatest.
