What is Emmett Cullen's (from Twilight) human history?

I am a little confused about Emmett Cullen's human history. It seems like once they were saying that Emmett and Rosalie were together while he was still human but then they are saying Rosalie found him after he was mauled by a bear. What really happened?

Alice was changed by someone who worked at the asylum she lived at because he wanted to protect her from James, who was hunting her.
 
They never go into great detail. You kind of figure that he was a big, dumb jock kind of guy because he tried to wrestle bears.
 
Emmett was being attacked by a bear. Rosalie saved him and took him to Carlisle, running for miles.

Rosalie was raped and left to die. Carlisle saved her.

THey weren't together when they/either of them were human.
 
in the books you dont really find out about emmett but he was being mauled by a bear when rose found him. she carried him like 500 miles while he was bleading but thats all you know
 
Well, I went on Twilightlexicon.com...

and it says that he is 20 and got changed two years after Rosalie, among other things on this website.

This is a good website for covering things that haven't been answered in the book except for one question.

Who changed Alice Cullen? That my friend, is what the whole Twilight fandom wants to know.

he was attacked by a bear and Rosalie saved him and then Carslise bit him because she wanted him to. Because her friend had a child who looked like Emmet and she wanted a child of her own.
